DocuWare 4 is the cornerstone of the DocuWare
product line. DocuWare 4 allows you to handle and administer all
kinds of different scanned documents and Windows documents. The
trademarks of this universal PC software are its its completeness,

4.1 contains an optimized TIFFMAKER for the fully automatic storage

Security
DocuWare 4.1 meets even the most stringent security
standards. For example, the database includes an automatic back-up
function, which can be programmed to check your database at specific
intervals and to save identical copies thereof. In addition, all
database search criteria can be saved in the headers of the document
files, databases can be completely restored from the filed documents
(only DocuWare provides this function). Your regular back-up system
can, of course, be used as well.
Documents which are stored with DocuWare are protected against any
unwanted manipulation. This security feature is based on a
sophisticated check sum mechanism which uncovers any violations of
the document integrity. This makes DocuWare the ideal repository for
any documents that need to be guarded against illegal modification.
