CD-ROMs are the most inexpensive storage media for large amounts of
data. DocuWare CDREQUEST is a database-supported retrieval software
for electronic files which are stored on CD-ROMs. Retrieval, display
and printing of documents directly from a CD are all performed by
DocuWare CDREQUEST - no special software installation is necessary.
How it works
Capturing Documents
DocuWare CDREQUEST supports data capture in either DocuWare Version
3 or Version 4.
Licenses and Usage
Licensing for DocuWare CDREQUEST is designed to enable a large
number of CD archives to be created and distributed. It does not
matter whether the CDs are written individually using a CD recorder,
or whether they are pressed industrially in large quantities. File
cabinets stored on CDs can be invoked directly from the CD with
DocuWare CDREQUEST. The software does not have to be installed, but
you can do so at any time to improve processing speed.
Benefits
Entire file cabinets can be provided to subsidiaries and business
partners, or distributed for mobile use on laptops. Up to 20,000
scanned letter-size documents or 200,000 COLD data records can be
stored on a single CD. With DocuWare CDREQUEST, you can search for
documents on a CD using previously defined search criteria, display
and then print the found documents.
Functionality
Network Usage
The file cabinet data is completely compatible with DocuWare 4.
Compatible Documents
The following documents can be retrieved and displayed by DocuWare
CDREQUEST:
scanned black &
white documents (TIFF G4),
COLD data records,
color photographs
(JPEG),
ANSI/ASCII files.
