Features
Zoom Lenses
Three zoom lenses
- 9x-16x, 13x-27x and 20x-50x - provide a complete range of coverage
for smooth magnification ease and maximum convenience. Each
lens features a wide zoom range, eliminating the need to frequently
change lenses and letting you print the exact copy size you need.
All three zoom lenses work with the RP607Z's Optical Image Rotation
system, ensuring quick and simple vertical/horizontal alignment and
adjustment. A 7.5x single focal length lens is also available.
The RP607Z is fast
enough to keep up with high-volume printing needs. In just
five seconds, your first 8-1/2" x 11" (A4) size print
appears in the output tray. In just seven seconds, first
11" x 17" (A3) size print appears. Subsequent
prints are even faster - up to 22 copies per minute for 8-1'2"
x 11" (A4) prints. And the RP607Z can produce up to 99
copies per print run.
The RP607Z
offers two types of optional Auto-Masking features which cover a
wide range of print sizes and applications. Both Auto-Masking
options are designed to allow the operator to make prints of only
selected portions of an image or eliminate heavy black boarders for
a more professional looking print. The Check Auto-Masking
feature is designed to mask both checks as well as all other size
documents. The General Auto-Masking feature is a cost
effective alternative which can be used in applications which
require the masking of general sized documents only.
The RP607Z's
optional Manual Masking function is very easy to use. The rows
of LEDs along the left and bottom edges of the screen are actually
buttons which can be pushed to designate the areas of a document to
be masked. Manual Masking can be used to trim black areas
between checks or delete sensitive or unneeded information from a
full-page document.
The Auto Center
function increases productivity by eliminating the need for time
consuming manual adjustments of the image into the printing area.
A built-in sensor detects the incorrect placement of the original on
the screen and automatically centers it before copying. The
edges are centered within a maximum of 20mm, ensuring that they
print correctly and neatly. the Auto Centering function is
especially useful for making multiple copies during automatic
searches and retrievals.
Minolta's
electronic exposure control system assures consistently excellent
prints from every film format - just push the Exposure button for
optimum exposure every time, even from films of varying densities.
Manual adjustment over a wide exposure range is also possible for
handling films with special requirements.
With the RP607Z's
Book Format Printing function, side-by-side images, such as facing
pages of books, magazines, etc., can be printed on separate sheets
of paper with push-button simplicity.
The RP607Z offers
two easy-to-use universal, front-loading cassettes, each with a
capacity of 250 sheets. The cassettes can be easily adapted to
handle paper sizes ranging from 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (B5) to
11" x 17" (A3). An optional, rear-mounted Large
Capacity Tray permits greater versatility and more efficient
high-volume printing by holding up to 2,000 sheets of 8-1/2" x
11" (A4) paper. An optional Guide Plate Kit
permits printing of the front and back of a check of a single
3-2/3" x 17" sheet of paper.
Add the optional
Bi-mode Unit, and the RP607Z automatically senses the type of film
being used and sets the polarity accordingly. The RP607Z
automatically produces positive copies from both negative and
positive microfilm images. There's no guesswork and no need to
change toner cartridges.
The RP607Z packs
an astonishing amount of features into a very compact console-type
design, yet remains simple to use and maintain. All controls
are ergonomically designed for effortless accessibility and
operation, and prints are delivered up front, within easy reach of
the operator. The RP607Z also boasts an extra-wide screen that
offers a clear view of an entire 11" x 17" (A3) or two
side-by-side 8-1/2" x 11" (A4) pages.
The Minolta RC 21
