Minolta MS 3000

The MS 3000 is the most compact microfilm scanner in its class. It provides high-speed, quiet operation for digitizing images stored on microfilm and microfiche. As the world’s smallest ledger-size desktop scanner, the MS 3000 requires less room than ordinary letter-size, floor-type scanners. With a wide array of automatic features, the MS 3000 makes obtaining sharp, clear images from all types and qualities of film easier than ever.

The MS 3000 scans letter-size documents in less than five seconds using standard settings. With the autoscan feature, the MS 3000 scans at less than four seconds. The ability to scan at 200, 300 and 400 dots per inch (dpi) combined with frame masking, skew correction and auto-centering allows the MS 3000 to produce great-quality images while reducing manual resetting and rescanning of images. This combination of features delivers the solid benefits of enhanced productivity and reduced operating costs.

Automatic Time-Saving Features
Skew Correction rotates an image and adjusts it to its proper horizontal position, reducing manual adjustment time. Frame Masking erases undesirable black borders from a document, reducing digital file size. Centering detects off-centered originals and automatically centers them. Auto focus eliminates manual focusing, enhancing overall efficiency, particularly when frequent film changes are required. Auto exposure senses film exposure and automatically adjusts to the appropriate level. Polarity Adjustment detects film polarities and ensures the creation of positive images. Using Image Splitting with dual image mode, the MS 3000 can split a single 11^" x 17^" scan into two separate images, producing two images from one scan.
